Frequently asked questions
Does Vortex sell products from a specific vendor?
No. Vortex works in a vendor-agnostic way: it assesses the environment and recommends the most suitable technologies, considering technical, regulatory and financial criteria, with the world’s leading cybersecurity vendors and platforms.
Which vendors does Vortex work with?
With the leading security vendors on the market, such as Claroty, Tenable, Netskope, SentinelOne, Idira, Kaspersky and Fortinet, covering network, endpoint, cloud, data, identity, OT and security for AI. This breadth makes it possible to recommend and operate the most suitable technology for each environment, independently. The full list is on Partners (PT).
Is the Vortex team certified by the vendors?
Yes. The team is made up of professionals trained and certified by the leading security bodies, institutes and vendors, with certifications in IT and OT. The vendors recognize this work with awards such as Technical LATAM Partner of the Year from Claroty (2024), World’s first industrial EDR from Kaspersky (2022) and World’s first Tenable.EP project (2021).
Which technologies does Vortex integrate and manage?
The Managed Security Services catalog has 12 verticals: Network Security, Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, Identity & Access, Exposure Management, Risk and Compliance Management, User Awareness, Security Validation, Application Security, Managed Detection and Response, OT Security and Data Protection.
Does the portfolio include security for AI?
Yes. The catalog includes AI Exposure Management, which discovers and protects AI-related surfaces such as models, prompts, LLM endpoints and shadow AI, and AI Governance, with an inventory of AI systems, risk assessment by use case and responsible use policies. The complete AI governance and security journey is in Vortex AI Journey.
Does Vortex also operate the tools after deployment?
Yes. In the managed security services (MSS) model, Vortex manages the solutions proactively and with specialized support, so that the security team uses the full product it has purchased. Each contracted vertical has a service catalog, with periodic and on-demand activities, and the processes follow ITIL v4. Requests and changes go through the Vortex Service Portal, which integrates with the company’s ITSM in both directions.
Do the technologies managed by Vortex integrate with the Cyber Defense Center?
Yes. The technologies that Vortex recommends, deploys and manages can be operated in the Cyber Defense Center, the Converged NG-SOC (NG-SOC Convergente): data arrives through agents, sensors and connectors, and the development team builds any missing connector, as long as the technology has an API. For the technologies managed by Vortex, the CDC acts directly on incident containment and remediation.
Does Vortex serve industrial (OT) environments?
Yes. The OT Security vertical covers OT asset inventory, industrial endpoint protection, vulnerability management, network security with zones and conduits in line with IEC 62443, threat detection, governance and secure remote access.
